Q: Where are your products built and who builds them?
A: All Hijacker Electrical products are designed and physically built in the Silicon Valley of the United States of America by a solitary human being with over a decade of experience in guitar effects processor design and assembly.
Q: What is the warranty for your products like????
A: All electrical products by Hijacker Electrical are covered by a non-transferable
limited lifetime warranty granted towards the first original owner for as long as it takes for that product to outlive the consumer. This warranty requires registration activated within 6 calendar months from the purchase date by visiting our product registration portal, or by email at warrantyregistration@hijackerelectrical.com.
Your full name, an active email address, product serial number (usually found in/on instructional itinerary and products internal asset tag), and dated proof of purchase or dated purchase receipt are required for complete registration. Hijacker Electrical will never sell any personal information provided by the consumer in confidence to Hijacker Electrical to any 3rd party interests for any reason whatsoever.
This warranty covers repairs to components that are subject to consistent user wear including; stomp-switches, toggle and rotary switches, potentiometers, indicator LED’s, and power and audio input and output (and other auxiliary) jacks. This warranty may also cover rare critical component failures in the instance of any component manufacturer defects. If instance may arise, this warranty may cover modifications to upgrade any eligible products obsolete circuit that warrants it to have it match current product specifications and standards.
Second hand owners of any Hijacker Electrical product that is not covered under
warranty will incur charges for repairs resulting from any user wear or damage to their Hijacker Electrical product. Hijacker Electrical is only responsible for payment of return shipping of any product covered under warranty. Hijacker Electrical is not responsible for any repair to cosmetic damage caused by the user. Hijacker Electrical is not responsible for repair to products damaged by not powering a product with the directed and correct power supply. Hijacker Electrical maintains the right to refuse undertaking any repairs to a Hijacker Electrical product if it has been subject to tampering of the circuit or aftermarket modification not done by Hijacker Electrical. Hijacker Electrical does not accept returns of our products after purchase.
Q: What are the power specifications of your products?
A: Please consult the manual or any instructional itinerary on a product-by-product
basis before powering any Hijacker Electrical product. In general, we try to adhere to the industry standard in that all of our products are to be powered by a 9V DC center negative 2.1mm barrel tipped power supply only. All of our products are also applicable with most modern market isolated and regulated multi-pedal power supplies applicable for 9V DC output operation. Again, please consult any instructional documentation in instances where a products powering specifications may differ from 9V DC or if wanting to power a product safely at a voltage higher than 9V DC (such as 12V or 18V DC operation).
While 9V batteries and their production are not good for our environment, we understand that they can be a critical sonic component in various circuits and we accommodate with the feature of an internal 9V battery power snap and dock when necessary.
Q: Do you utilize true bypass switching with your effects pedals and floor based processors?
A: Yes, by default we utilize true bypass switching for our effects pedals utilizing a 3PDT switch for main bypass. This allows for a clean and pure signal when our products are bypassed in your effects signal chain. When our products are off, we want them to be as if they are audibly non-existent with zero cause for any disruption. If any switching other than true bypass is utilized on our products (such as buffered bypass or soft relay bypass and etc.) for any particular purpose, it will be explicitly stated as such in any instructional itinerary or ad copy.
Q: Do you utilize Printed Circuit Boards or vintage style perforated stripboards for your circuits? What can I expect the wiring to be like in your products?
A: Hijacker Electrical has primarily used vintage style single-side Phenolic perforated stripboards for its products in the past and will be segueing into the use of Fiberglass Printed Circuit Boards in our future. Vintage style perforated boards will still be employed for limited run products dependent on circuit, circumstance, and overall design criteria.
Hijacker Electrical prides itself on employing military specification (’mil-spec’) wiring in our products whenever prudent and pays great attention to dress and detail with regards to where audio and voltage paths are in relation to each other. We almost exclusively utilize heavy duty 22 AWG wire along with Belden shielded coaxial cable for longer input and output audio signal paths.
Q: What component companies do you utilize in your pedals?
A: Hijacker Electrical uses a variety of top manufacturers for their passive and active components in our circuits. For electrolytic and film capacitors, we use Panasonic, Sprague, Nichicon, Mallory, Kemet, Rubycon, and WIMA. All of differing values and package sizes and formations. For metal film, carbon film and carbon composition resistors we use Allen Bradley, Ohmite, Xicon, Vishay and various other known and reputable manufacturers.
Our stock of active components both New and New Old Stock come from the top
leading manufacturers and are vetted at all critical points of sonic and quality tolerance before installation.
We make great effort in avoiding components with poor reputations in the sonic field as well as components from 3rd party manufacturers who sell re-labeled or rebranded factory seconds and cast-offs. For what we charge for our products, we will only utilize the best components we can get that will do the job more than suitably.
Q: Do you repair or modify any other manufacturer’s products or electronics on a customer by customer basis?
A: No. We are not a repair shop and focus solely on products built by Hijacker Electrical.
Q: Do you do any custom or bespoke work per the demand of the consumer?
A: No. We are not set up to undertake any custom work per request of the consumer. Any and all cosmetic and design decisions for our products are created and executed solely at the discretion of Hijacker Electrical only.
Q: I would like to purchase a Hijacker Electrical product that doesn’t seem to be featured for sale on your online storefront or that doesn't seem to be in active production anymore. Is it possible to purchase this product if it’s available? If not now, will it be available again in the future?
A: Hijacker Electrical products that are in active production are available direct only through our online storefront (at at times, through our reverb.com shop). Products that have been sold in the past and that can be seen in our online gallery and social media outlets may be sold out or discontinued (sometimes temporarily for the time being) or permanently retired and in the latter instance will not be made available for purchase anymore.

Q: Do you ship outside of the lower 48 continental United States of America?
A: Due to the current global shipping and supply chain and tariff issues that are directly affecting the way we operate our small-scale business here at Hijacker Electrical, we can now only handle direct sales to our customers that are within the United States of America (continental states and Hawaii/Alaska). Fluctuating carrier fees, tariffs and escalating component costs have put our direct international sales prospects on a current pause that we hope will cease in due time.
We apologize greatly due to the inconvenience this has caused to our potential international customers.
Q: Shipping will be very expensive to get your products into my country at the purchased price. Will you declare a lower value on any customs documentation than the actual cost of the purchased item to help lower any charges?
A: No. We will not falsify any customs documentation that may put the consumer or Hijacker Electrical in danger of any legal recourse. No exceptions will be made.
Q: What shipping carrier will be handling and delivering your products?
A: Hijacker Electrical primarily utilizes the United States Postal Service for both
domestic and international shipping and to handle your product from our base of
operations to your preferred address for delivery. Any tracking information provided by Hijacker Electrical at time of purchase will be in conjunction with the United States Postal Service and can be tracked via their websites tracking portal linked below.
We have currently suspended any new international direct sales for the time being (we apologize for any inconvenience). International shipping services will remain uninterrupted for any of our international customers needing service on their Hijacker Electrical product.
Q: There seems to be an issue with the tracking information provided with my pedal or it my be encountering delays during shipping. Do you know what may be the matter?
A:
Assuming there are no errors with the tracking information provided at time of purchase, if you still encounter a delay in shipping based off the estimated delivery date, a false delivery confirmation notification, or a missing parcel at the provided address after confirmed scanned time of delivery, it would be best to contact the United States Postal Service immediately at the contact points provided below.

If you believe you have been provided with a non-functioning tracking number at time of purchase, Hijacker Electrical will do its best to rectify the situation immediately along with the United States Postal Service. If you believe this has occurred, please email info@hijackerelectrical.com with the pertinent tracking and order information provided.
Please allow 1-2 business days since time of purchase for the United States Postal Service tracking application and your tracking information to update accordingly.
We ship internationally using USPS Priority Mail International (6-10 business days) and Priority Mail Express International (3-5 business days) to over 190 applicable countries. While USPS manages the initial shipping process, the final delivery is often handled by the destination country's postal service under agreements with USPS. This can lead to variations in tracking updates and delivery times.
USPS provides tracking for international shipments, but the tracking may not always be consistent once the package leaves the U.S. This is because USPS partners with local postal services in the destination country for final delivery. Tracking updates may vary based on the local carrier's system

A: As Hijacker Electrical expands as a small business ran by a very small team prioritizing design and development, a delay in our response to incoming questions may be usual for our operation at this time. We strive for courteous, friendly, and informative communication with our customers and appreciate your patience in awaiting our reply to any message you send our way if we may be facing a bit of a backlog at that current time. A: No.
Q: I am a musician or in a band that actively uses your products. Do you offer any endorsements?
A: While we try to maintain a relationship with anyone who actively uses our products to help in further creating their music and art, we cannot extend that as far as offering endorsement opportunities for our electrical products at this time.
